This Tribute is supporting the Missionary Society of St Columban of which Fr. George was a member for 52 years, serving in Peru and in Britain. Your donation will support the Columban ministry of Fr. Ed O'Connell in Peru, which George supported generously for many years. Fr. George spent 27 years on mission in Peru from 1962 to1989.

Fr George was our priest when I returned to the Catholic Church after being a lapsed Catholic for many years. He invited me to bible study sessions, was kind and will be sorely missed. He was even approved of by my dad, who was a good man and who I also dearly loved, but who had less affection, normally, for the Catholic faith.
